Bird City
The Ephraim Business Council teamed up with Peninsula State Park and the Village of Ephraim to gain Bird City designation
for the village. Bird City Wisconsin encourages communities to implement sound bird conservation practices and gives public
recognition to communities that protect and enhance bird habitat. At the Bird City dedication ceremony, Ephraim volunteer
firefighter Scotty Weborg received an award from Peninsula State Park for outstanding contributions to fire prevention and
the Smokey the Bear program.
